December’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $142,500—up 7.95% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $241,900 in West Virginia for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $236,550 in January.

Logan County had 6 new listings and 7 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 17—down 10.53% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.

Of those 17 active listings, 35.29% reduced their price in the month of December. The median listing price for homes in Logan County grew 17.97% from November to December, bringing the current median listing price to $174,000. Based on projected data for January, listing prices may continue to grow.
