Where to begin... First, this was my first home buying experience via RedFin. After my first home tour, I met Derek who was kind, knowledgeable, and communicative. We got along well as we initially connected based on our Midwestern roots. He made sure to keep me updated about when deadlines or any paperwork that needed to be completed/signed. During escrow, I had a horrible experience with my mortgage lender and my loan situation was unique, so not everyone may go through the trouble that I did, but Derek was able to coordinate with all of the varying parties and guided me through the arduous loan process. He remained patient, professional, and most of all transparent throughout the entire home buying experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better agent. I would highly recommend Derek as a realtor to anyone interested in buying a home!

Derek was a fantastic agent from the start until the very end of our house purchase experience! We met Derek at one of the first open house visits that were posted on Redfin. He was so easy to work with and walked us through the complicated process with ease. From the start he listened to our needs and after each viewing got better at finding us the right house. Ultimately, he was contacted by one of the selling agents about a house that was going up for sale and she was so impressed with Derek that we were able to make an offer on the house without it being listed publicly. That was a blessing since every other house we've bid on ended up selling way over our budget and this house was exactly what we were looking for! After we made the offer, Derek made some great recommendations about a good lender, good inspector, and all the other details of the closing process. We closed within one month! Derek was a great real estate agent to work with as well.

Derek has been very professional and flexible throughout the entire journey. He always put all the facts upfront, which helped make the right decision. His suggestions and experience were helpful.
