September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $1,822,500—up 12.15% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $915,000 in Los Angeles County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $918,000 in October.
Rancho Palos Verdes had 48 new listings and 49 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 150—down 5.06% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 150 active listings, 27.33% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Rancho Palos Verdes grew 0.5% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $1,909,500. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to grow.
