February’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $596,250—down 16.76% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $635,000 in Deschutes County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $608,000 in March.
Sisters had 20 new listings and 9 listings that went under contract in February, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 43—up 19.44% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in March.
Of those 43 active listings, 18.6% reduced their price in the month of February. The median listing price for homes in Sisters fell 6.87% from January to February, bringing the current median listing price to $651,000. Based on projected data for March, listing prices may continue to fall.
