For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $348,400 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $348,500 in May.

Wilbarger County had 8 new listings and 3 listings that went under contract in April, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 17—up 30.77% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in May.

Of those 17 active listings, 29.41% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Wilbarger County grew 136.39% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $236,250. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
