December’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $570,000—down 10.24% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $433,500 in Sarasota County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $447,750 in January.
Lakewood Ranch had 177 new listings and 177 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 643—down 7.88% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.
