January’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the neighborhood to be $433,600—down 0.93% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, city-level data pegged home values at $375,000 in Atlanta for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $365,000 in February.
Rockdale had 10 new listings and 8 listings that went under contract in January, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 7—down 36.36% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in February.
The median listing price for homes in Rockdale fell 1.18% from December to January, bringing the current median listing price to $420,000. Based on projected data for February, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year.
