Compared with the broader city of Worcester, where sale prices are up about 5 percent annually, East Worcester’s values have been climbing faster.
Even with more inventory, supply is still relatively tight, at 2.6 months, and the area is classified as a seller’s market. Homes are taking longer to sell than a year ago, with median days on market doubling to about three weeks, yet nearly half of recent sales still close above the asking price and the average sale-to-list ratio is just over 100 percent.
