“Nicole was amazing throughout the entire process. We looked at so many different houses before finally finding the one we chose, and she never rushed us. She made everything simple and easy—especially as first-time buyers—and she was incredibly informative the whole way through. She consistently sent us listings that matched all of our criteria, always made us feel comfortable, and was never distant or hard to reach. Her personality and attitude were excellent, and I truly have no negative remarks. Perfect all around.”

Learn more about what Ramapo has to offer.

Ramapo offers its residents a welcoming mix of family-friendly neighborhoods, abundant outdoor recreation, strong schools, and convenient access to cultural, shopping, and civic amenities.

Ramapo sets a scenic stage for daily life, framed by the Ramapo Mountains and the Hudson Valley’s wooded parkland. Spread across Rockland County, the town includes walkable village centers like Suffern and the dynamic corridors of Spring Valley. Commuters appreciate rail connections and quick access to the New York State Thruway, while weekend explorers find trailheads, lakes, and overlooks minutes from home.

Outdoor time comes easy here. Miles of hiking, boating, and leaf-peeping await in the vast expanse of Harriman State Park, and locals love the wide-open meadows and ridge views at Kakiat County Park. Neighborhood sports leagues, playgrounds, and community events fill the calendar, and farmers markets and foodie spots add flavor to village main streets.

Families can choose between two public districts: Suffern Central School District, known for strong academics and arts, and East Ramapo Central School District, serving a broad, diverse student body. Higher ed is close by at Rockland Community College, and the town’s libraries and rec programs keep learning and leisure within easy reach. Housing here ranges from historic colonials and mid-century ranches to newer townhomes and multifamily options, offering price points that make moving up—or downsizing—feasible without leaving the area you love.
