My name is Charles DeMatteo, but please call me Charlie. I grew up and lived most of my life in the suburbs of New York City. I spent 20 years as a member of the City of Yonkers Police Department, where I retired with the rank of Detective Sergeant. Upon my retirement, my wife and I decided to relocate to the beautiful Grand Strand community.

Moving into a new home and a new hometown inspired me to start a new career. Having an interest in real estate and a passion for helping others, becoming a Realtor at Century 21 Broadhurst was a perfect fit for me.

Charlie went above and beyond to make us happy with our home buying experience. From day one untill the day we closed. Always upfront and honest. From a dirt lot to the completed home. He would constantly send photos or even drone footage during all stages of the build,answered all our calls or concerns. Always treated us like a good friend not just an agent.
