March’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $582,000—up 3.93% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $320,000 in Horry County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $320,050 in April.
Surfside Beach had 27 new listings and 22 listings that went under contract in March, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 95—up 11.76% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in April.
Of those 95 active listings, 27.37% reduced their price in the month of March. The median listing price for homes in Surfside Beach grew 5.26% from February to March, bringing the current median listing price to $750,000. Based on projected data for April, listing prices may continue to grow.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year. In March 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 136 days, compared to 171 days in March 2024. In recent months the median number of days from listed to pending appears to be decreasing. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this April.
