October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $287,000—down 3.85% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $325,000 in Horry County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $320,000 in November.
Conway had 62 new listings and 62 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 299—down 4.17% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 299 active listings, 34.78% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Conway grew 4.42% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $295,000. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to grow.
