I bought my first home in Alameda at a foreclosure auction in 1996. A few years later, I was able to refinance and cash out and buy a duplex in Alameda. I got my license because I figured if I was going to be investing in real estate, I might as well earn a commission. I used my first commission check as a Realtor as my down-payment on a condo in Concord. Was a partner in a trailer park in Bay Point. Bought land and helped design new construction for it.
