My wife and I were looking to make the move from the city to the suburbs to buy our first home. I received Mike Long’s name from a colleague who had a great experience buying a home through Mike. From day one, Mike exceeded our expectations. He was attentive to our particular wants and needs in a home, but he also helped us set our expectations. His knowledge of the schools and neighborhoods in the area was incredible as was his knowledge of the overall market. We were also very impressed with Mike’s responsiveness in answering our questions and in hi communications with the seller’s agent despite having a number of other clients at the time. Mike was very involved and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire home buying process. He made sure things got done smoothly and with minimal stress. Since closing, Mike has also proved to be a great resource for information on contractors, plumbers, painters, you name it. Our home buying experience was breeze thanks largely to Mike. Mike Long was exactly what we needed in terms of knowledge, patience, and effort. My wife and I were moving from out of state, and we were dreading the house buying process knowing so little of the area.

But Mike made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. We contacted him on very short notice to meet w/ him during our short house hunting trip to the area, and he was quick to set up a time to spend several hours with us to maximize our time to familiarize ourselves to the area and to specific properties that may meet our criteria. His knowledge of the area and the types of houses put us at ease. It was obvious that he knew the area inside and out.

When it came time to make an offer on a house, Mike again proved invaluable with his offer strategy. He made a thoughtful analysis of the relevant market with support for his conclusions. We also believe that his advocacy on our behalf with the seller's agent made a huge difference.

He was always accessible to help us out with each step of the process. And his easy-going demeanor certainly helps during a process like this.

We would definitely recommend Mike Long to anyone else looking for a reliable and thoughtful agent.

As a first home buyer, we really had no knowledge about purchasing a home before we started the process. Then we met with Mike Long and after our first meeting he eased any concerns we would have about the process. Mike met with us on multiple occasions, was extremely accessible and punctual, and helped us search for the home that was right for us. When we found the home we wanted, Mike actually set up a meeting with the homeowners that night in which he pitched to them why they should sell the home to us. That night we had a signed contract! Mike went above and beyond what any other realtor would have done. For that reason, we now live in a great home that is perfect for our family. We owe it all to Mike Long. I would absolutely recommend Mike Long to anybody who is purchasing a home and he is the only realtor I would ever use in the future.

Mike Long was recommended to us by family friends and we have thanked those friends for mentioning him to us. Mike Long came in and did a fantastic job of drafting a plan of attack as it were to sell out townhouse which was located in a neighborhood that had a great deal of foreclosures and poor sales performance. Mike really took control of the entire situation and it showed when after 6 days on the market, we had multiple offers for our property out of over 15 showings in only 6 days. Then, Mike was there throughout the entire process leading up to the closing which was almost derailed multiple times by a buyer who did not seem to have a sense of urgency at all. Mike was able to keep the buyer on task through the proper channels and for that, we thank him.

All in all, everyone says that buying or selling a home is a very emotional and trying time and Mike Long did everything he could to make it less stressful for us and for that we thank him. It was a less stressful time and also a very short period of time where the house was actually on the market.

Mike Long is very organized, professional, knowledgeable, patient, reliable and easy to work with. He comes 110% prepared, always does his research before hand and really gave me piece of mind to leave my home in his hands and get on with my life in a new city. I interviewed several realtors before selecting Mike and I was not disappointed in my choice. He kept both me and my husband involved via group texts/emails- this is a pet peeve of mine, people always forget to copy my husband if i send the message or copy me if he sends the message and I did not have to deal with this frustration with Mike. He was also open to communicating via whichever method we preferred. This was invaluable. Mike took a hands on approach and got involved communicating with our lawyer directly when necessary, keeping us informed every step of the way. We successfully closed while on vacation in Hawaii because we left everything in the capable hands of Mike and our lawyer who represented us at the closing.
