I met Mitch as my student, 25 years ago when I was the professor for the 'South Carolina Appraiser Licensing Courses' bieng made available to appraisers in their efforts to comply with the federal mandates coming out of the S&L solvency crisis in the early 1980's. Mitch worked in a commercial bankfor years as a Loan Officer, He has been a real estate appraiser for many years after that.Most recently, he started a successful Residential Mortgage Borkereage company in Georgetown (which he closed when volume fell off in 2010. And besided all that....Mitch is a 'born and bred' Georgetown SC native. He still lives on family farm property held for 3 generations.In a nutshell.....Mitch knows 'the business' at every level. He has been a licensed broker for 25 years. He has bought and sold properties for his own account the whole time. He knows how the appraisal side fits with the lending side to avoid mistakes...and give you the best chance for success. He has fantastic local connections (as a lifetime professional resident) and can even show you property that is not even 'officially on the market'. And finally...I trust Mitch. He has been a good friend. When I took my 83 year old mother to her birthland of Puerto Rico for two full weeks a year ago (for probably the last time)....I left her house key with Mitch, who checked the house and reported every few days while we were gone.Mitch is the real deal.
