October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $249,900—down 1.61% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $383,500 in South Carolina for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $384,350 in November.
Greenwood County had 88 new listings and 67 listings that went under contract in October, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 303—up 2.36% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in November.

The median listing price for homes in Greenwood County fell 4.07% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $273,400. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
