September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $232,440—up 6.87% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $220,000 in Union County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $216,530 in October.
Union had 10 new listings and 17 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 41—down 4.65% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 41 active listings, 56.1% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Union fell 0.43% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $230,990. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
