December’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $252,500—up 17.44% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $252,000 in Greene County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $252,930 in January.

Greeneville had 20 new listings and 29 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 99—down 14.66% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.
