Year-over-year, Buckingham County’s housing market shows rising prices alongside expanding inventory. Typical home values are up a few percent from last year, while the median list price has surged more than 20 percent, and active listings have grown by roughly a third.
In the latest June 2026 snapshot, buyers are seeing more options, with about 76 active listings and nearly eight months of supply, a level well above the Virginia average of roughly three months. Even with that buyer-leaning setup, homes that sell are still achieving a little over 101 percent of list price on average, and about 14 percent of sales are closing above asking.
