Year over year, Buckingham County’s typical home value in April 2026 is up modestly, rising about 6 percent to roughly $334,000, while the statewide median sits higher at around $439,000. At the same time, active listings have climbed nearly 27 percent from a year ago, giving buyers more options than they had last spring.
From a supply standpoint, months of inventory has expanded sharply to about 4.2 months, well above Virginia’s 2.6 months, which tilts local conditions toward a buyer’s market.
