April’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $125,000—up 81.16% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $247,600 in West Virginia for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $249,050 in May.
Tyler County had 6 new listings and 6 listings that went under contract in April, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 13—down 18.75% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in May.
Of those 13 active listings, 30.77% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Tyler County grew 33.53% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $126,450. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.
