About
Matt graduated from Appalachian State University in 2002 with a degree in Business Management and Computer Information Systems. He immediately pursued a career in real estate, graduating from Allen Tate School of Real Estate in 2003. Since that time, he has earned the ABR designation, WHS designation, SFR certification, and is a graduate of the Charlotte Chamber’s Leadership School. In addition to being a member of the Housing Opportunity Foundation, Matt has served on the Fair & Affordable Housing Committee, was Vice President of his HOA, and has participated on the Appalachian Alumni Board.

Year after year, Matt has been a multi-million dollar producer and dedicated Realtor, consistently placing him in the top 5% of agents nationwide for sales over the past few years.

In 2016, Matt started The Claxton Group, bringing on buyers' agents Jordan Dry and Erica Johnson to provide an even higher level of service.
