Theresa Slater

am a dedicated, passionate, individual that prides myself in helping others. Raised in a military family, I have a passion to serve those who have served and defended our wonderful country. My father served in the Army, he did two tours in Vietnam and was finally sent home after being hit by a land mine. He received a Purple Heart for his courage and bravery. He finally retired after proudly serving for 21 years. My brother followed in my father's footsteps and is currently serving in the Army.

I graduated from MacArthur High School and attended the University of the Incarnate Word. While there, I met my husband and soon began a family. We now have three beautiful kids. Our youngest has cerebral palsy. We have learned so much from her, seeing her fighting spirit and strong determination. She has brought so much joy to our whole family. We have been blessed to meet so many amazing people through her journey.
