July’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $188,750—down 13.02% over the previous 12 months. Hastings had 30 new listings and 32 listings that went under contract in July, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 79—down 9.2% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in August.
Of those 79 active listings, 53.16% reduced their price in the month of July. The median listing price for homes in Hastings fell 11.39% from June to July, bringing the current median listing price to $229,500. Based on projected data for August, listing prices may continue to fall.
