The City of Newton supports a full calendar of festivals and athletics through its parks and recreation programs, and a growing food-and-coffee scene makes lingering on the square an easy habit.

Families look to Newton-Conover City Schools for strong academics, arts, and athletics across neighborhood campuses, with career and technical pathways that connect students to area employers. Lifelong learners tap the resources of the Catawba County Library’s main branch in town and workforce training through nearby Catawba Valley Community College.
