For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $287,000 in City of Staunton for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $292,530 in May.

Staunton had 45 new listings and 43 listings that went under contract in April, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 44—up 7.32% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in May.

Of those 44 active listings, 25.0% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Staunton grew 4.56% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $298,000. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.
