For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $315,000 in Catawba County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $313,500 in November.

Long View had 5 new listings and 11 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 22—down 0.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.

Of those 22 active listings, 31.82% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Long View fell 7.18% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $181,000. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
