October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $241,000—up 6.04% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $325,000 in Horry County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $320,000 in November.

Loris had 6 new listings and 5 listings that went under contract in October, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 34—up 13.33% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in November.

Of those 34 active listings, 44.12% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Loris fell 35.37% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $254,950. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
