January’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $425,000—down 9.38% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $395,900 in Vermont for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $380,800 in February.
Addison County had 7 new listings and 18 listings that went under contract in January, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 82—down 17.17% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in February.
Of those 82 active listings, 20.73% reduced their price in the month of January. The median listing price for homes in Addison County grew 10.39% from December to January, bringing the current median listing price to $425,000. Based on projected data for February, listing prices may continue to grow.
