Hanover County home values in May 2026 were slightly higher than a year ago, with the typical home value edging up less than 1 percent year over year. List prices dipped about 1 percent from last May, suggesting sellers are moderating expectations even as values hold. Compared with the broader Virginia market, Hanover’s typical sale price sits a bit higher than the state’s.
In the latest month, inventory in Hanover grew modestly, with active listings up just over 2 percent year over year and totaling 450 homes.
