We had the unique experience of having Jim and Grant Bim represent us twice for the same property. Our contract fell through the first time when they were Agents of Long and Foster; when we relisted, Jim and Grant had formed Winning Edge their family-owned and operated brokerage. I mention this for two reasons. One, when the first contract fell through they did everything in their power to get to closing. The fact that we didn't get there was not because of their lack of effort. When we relisted with Winning Edge, we were concerned that not having the name Long and Foster behind them would be a disadvantage. This was NOT the case whatsoever. My wife and I were just thinking about downsizing, and selling our home which we had been in for the last 20 years, when we came upon our new home while just driving around and looking for signs in the yards and following up on homes we had seen online. My contact with Grant Bim Real Estate began on a Saturday night with a phone call . Reaching out to me as a cold call and introducing their agency to me, and offering to re-list me house. The thought of a company still making phone calls and marketing the old fashioned way, made me curious. We arranged to meet at my house and I guess figure out what we all were thinking.
They arrived on time! The meeting started with a hand shake and lasted at least 2 hours. We walked the house and talked about expectations and I explained that my time line was 30 days.
