I wish I had a 6th star that I could give Jerrod Waller. He is a master of negotiation (good luck if your realtor is up against him), and has a steady, patient, yet incredibly determined approach that I can't recommend more highly.

I recommended him to my brother when he was nervously looking to buy his first home. Jerrod was patient with him and couldn't have been more knowledgable about the often overlooked aspects of buying a home (that you learn about when things go wrong), such as dealing with banks (he worked as a banker) and real estate law (Hogue & Belong is owned by lawyers who specialize in it). If we'd let him, he likely would have offered to pick up a paint brush and help repaint the condo. I genuinely doubt that I could find another more dedicated realtor in all of San Diego if I tried. Maybe I could be proven wrong, but I really doubt it.

Jerrod is knowledgeable, professional, diligent and best of all down to earth. He patiently explained our questions and concerns in as much detail as we required. We looked at a lot of houses. Jerrod was always in support of whatever choice we made, he also pointed out in more than one instance that the houses we thought were good were over priced. Jerrod always did extensive comps and research and gave us an educated opinion. Because of his extensive knowledge and honesty, we completely trusted him when we did find "The One" and he gave it the thumbs up.
When it came down to the actual offer, Jerrod and his team had it down to science. There were a lot of factors involved. Jerrod had informed suggestions on what to do in each instance. There were 11 other offers on the house. Our offer beat them all. Jerrod made our offer stand out. I have no doubt it was because his offer was well written, more thorough and professional. Jerrod did something right and so our lender.

Jerrod helped me buy my first condo in Rancho Peñasquitos. Being a first time home buyer, you are learning all the realtor vocabulary and how things work. He was incredibly patient on my side, and proactive and always on top of finding places for me to look at. The market is ridiculously competitive, people make offers sight unseen all the time. Jerrod's ability at finding places that fit my values while keeping everything in budget was exceptional.
