Some words to describe Justin Bonney: Professional, Reliable, Honest, Go-Getter, Hard worker, Credible, Knowledgeable and Friendly. Believe me, more can be said about this true professional and all-around good person. Justin was recommended by a good friend when we mentioned to her it was time for us to buy a home. We first met Justin in September 2015, at which time we scheduled time to sit down and talk. When we first met, he was never in a rush, and answered all of our questions, and it became clear that: (1) he was a very experienced realtor with a variety of helpful connections in his industry, (2) he understood and knew the housing market, as well as had a background in lending (which was extremely helpful when it came time to talk about loan options and how the process worked), and (3) he was honest. These qualities were like a breath of fresh air, especially his honesty. He told us what he honestly thought about anything we asked him. From his opinion of a particular housing area, to what we should expect from any area based on our price point. He became our realtor; and from that moment in September 2015, he was the most dedicated realtor I had ever known.

My wife and I bought and sold a home in Oregon, so we were not inexperienced with how realtors and the housing industry operated; but Justin was on another level. He had to be. California is one of the toughest places (in my opinion) to (a) find a home, (b) negotiate, and (c) actually finalize a purchase. He worked tirelessly for us. At first he set up a variety of homes and condos for us to walk through, so we could not only see what that area could offer, but so he could learn our likes and dis-likes in terms of housing styles and floor plans. Week after week, we coordinated and worked with each other to find the right home for us. He never rushed us. He never “just wanted to close the deal.” He honestly wanted us to be happy with our home. There were many times when both my wife and I said in frustration, “Let’s just get this home, it will have to do.” But Justin would not let us compromise on our happiness. We learned that we would have to compromise on some of the things we may have wanted based on the reality of the housing market, but he absolutely would not let us compromise on the way we felt about a home. If it was not “the one” then he told us to keep looking. “We will find your house,” Justin would say.

When it came down to putting an offer on a home, Justin put together an offer package that was actually an offer package. This package included who we were, who are kids were, some of the information about us, so the Sellers could actually see who their home was going to. Before we put an offer on our home, Justin even went out of his way to send out mass mailings to areas we wanted to purchase a home in, so anyone thinking of selling their home would see that good people were waiting to buy. “We will find your house.”

And then we did. This past week (April 2016) we finally closed on our new home. During the closing process, Justin worked tirelessly to ensure that we received the best deal we could: get repairs done, get inspections done, attend all walk-throughs and inspections (even though he did not have to), even did some of the work of the Seller’s realtor (again…when he did not have to), and made sure that we were satisfied with all of the negotiations and compromises made during escrow. He put us in contact with many of his professional contacts for painting, landscaping, repairs, etc. Justin worked night and day for us, and he always wanted to make sure we were ok along every step of the process, and we are so grateful for his work. The home is now ours, and we are extremely happy and proud of what we have accomplished; which we could not have accomplished without Justin’s help. I recommend Justin with the highest rating possible. He works because he cares – and I completely endorse him. A true professional, a smart and savvy realtor, a friend.
