From the first phone call I had with Nancy I felt as though she was an old friend. The day I me twith her I was impressed with how personable she was. Over a decade ago, my husband and I started to look to buy our first home together. We lived through the home crises of 2009, and even when home prices were at their lowest, we just could not get our hands on one. The cash offers and hardcore competition out there made us feel like goldfish amongst sharks. Throughout those ten years, we found several homes and put in several offers but were not lucky enough to get the right broker to represent us and make it happen. We became frustrated and gave up hope altogether. But, in May of 2018, we randomly came across a windmill, or “sign” as I call it, which brought me back to my childhood in Brazil right here in the heart of Redondo Beach where our dream of owning our first home came true.
When I was a child, my father used to build windmills as a hobby, and they became a trademark in our family. When I wrote my first book of poetry, a windmill also became the cover of my book. When I drove by the South Bay area and came across the historical Vetter Windmill that sits on the corner of PCH and Aviation Blvd in Hermosa Beach, I got this rare feeling that I was home, except that I did not own a home just yet. But I felt I had to start looking into buying again. I reopened the homes-for-sale app on my phone that very week and I found a home for sale in Redondo Beach, right by the historical Vetter Windmill.
My husband and I drove by the nearby area: “Golden Hills” in Redondo Beach. By chance, Nancy Andreason, the listing agent for that property, was showing the house that morning. We stopped by and Nancy greeted us with the most pleasant smile and beautiful personality. I asked if she could represent us and she agreed to meet us. Where? At a local coffee shop right where the historical Vetter Windmill sits on the corner. At that point, I felt blessed by all the stars in the universe! They simply lined up and lighted up! We shook hands with Nancy, listened carefully to her wise instructions on how to gather important qualifying paperwork and put in an offer. In less than a week the sellers had accepted our offer and the house went pending. And in approximately a month, we became proud home owners of an adorable home that sits on top of the Golden Hills in Redondo Beach, just one mile from the beach. From up there, you can literally feel the ocean breeze!
I am a faithful believer in trust, diligence, hard work and passion. And those are just a few of the words that describe Nancy’s work ethics. I spoke with and asked questions to at least 10+ brokers. I scaled down and interviewed three. After the interviews, I went with Nancy. She understood my wish for three plans of what do do with the house. (nothing, small changes and large changes). She and her Team were very professional and ready in just the first meeting to walk away and willing to get back quickly with her presentation of her three thoughts of what to do with my Father's house.

Nancy and I met face to face once. All of the rest of the work was by email, text and phone. So she had to have a strong background and Team to work all of this while being 800 miles away from me. She even made it more comforting by sending pictures all the time of what new items popped up (Termite inspection findings) and the changes to the house that her Team was doing.
